This June, InSPE’s adaptation of the hit Broadway musical The Addams Family will be in full swing! With a talented cast, live orchestra, beautiful sets and spectacular effects, you don’t want to miss this humorous macabre musical in the TheaterHotel Almelo!
The eccentric Addams Family is alive and well! The passionate Gomez (Ivo da Silva) and his wife, the stunningly beautiful Morticia (Juliana Zijlstra), their dark ‘darlings’ Wednesday (Sem Verhaere) and Pugsley (Iris Snellenburg), Uncle Fester (Brad Hillas), Grandma (Sam Molenkamp) and of course butler Lurch (Victor Rijnders) step out of the darkness and exchange their macabre villa for a dark comedy in the theatre. Daughter Wednesday Addams has grown up and carries a shocking secret. She is in love with Lucas (Alec Zirnheld), an ordinary boy who, to make matters worse, comes from a ‘normal’ family! She only shares the secret with her father Gomez, who has never hidden anything from his beloved Morticia. When Lucas and his parents, Mal (Ryan Wakamiya) and Alice (Charlotte Büscher) are invited to an introductory dinner, the truth comes out. The full moon shines, the ghosts and statues awaken and love is tested on all fronts.
One of InSPE’s goal for this production is to be as inclusive and accessible as possible! We are proud to announce that we have Dutch sign language interpreters during our show on Saturday, June 3rd, 13:30.
We will have three Dutch sign language Interpreters, two of which will translate the dialogues from English spoken word to Dutch sign language, and a sign dancer will translate and interpret all of the songs!
Is this something for you? When selecting your seats, book the closest rows from the front of the stage on the right side! The interpreters will be with us on stage!
