Ray Wegewijs – Chair, Chief of Orchestra
Hi my name is Ray, I am a bachelor student Electrical Engineering at the University of Twente. I have been playing the violin for quite some time. I love working with lights and sound in theater. During my first year at Uni I joined InSPE for their production of Fiddler on the Roof as an orchestra member and I had a blast! So here I am working on the next production!
As chair I lead and oversee the board. As Chief of Orchestra I am responsible for the communication of the board with the conductor and the orchestra.
Ivo da Silva – Secretary, Chief of Cast
Hello! I’m Ivo. I am Following a Bachelor’s degree in Education at the University of Utrecht. I have spent most of my life doing something related to the arts, whether in an orchestra, theatre group, or choir. I particularly love when all the arts collaborate and create something amazing. before I moved to the Netherlands, i co-founded a Choir with my close friend back home on Curaçao. I joined InSPE back in 2020 for their production of Fiddler on the Roof as one of the cast members and It struck me so deep that even after moving to Utrecht, i decided to stay at InSPE and even become a board member!
As Secretary I maintain and keep track of all information. As Chief of Cast I am responsible for the communication between the board, the creatives, and the cast.
Debbie Waninge – Treasurer, Funds
Hey! My name is Debbie and I am a master student Industrial Design Engineering and Educatie en Communicatie in de Bètawetenschappen at the University of Twente. In 2019 I started with improvisation theatre and that motivated and inspired me to do a lot more with culture. I took singing lessons, I joined InSPE their last production Fiddler on the Roof, I participated in Giulio Cesare in Egitto by the Nederlandse Reisopera as a figurant and a few months ago, I joined a vocal group. The last production of InSPE was so amazing that I wanted to be more involved in the next one. So, yeah… now I am part of the board.
As a treasurer I oversee the financial affairs and ensure that the organisation adheres to all the legal accounting practices. As a Commissioner of Funds I’ll, together with some amazing people, make sure that there is enough money available to make the next production as great as the previous ones.
Pascal de Jong – Commissioner of concept and stage management
Hi there! My name is Pascal, I’m a first year student at the University of Utrecht and am studying International Law. I joined the team later on but have since then felt right at home! I have always had organisational role in other Boards i have been a part of, so it felt right to join InSPE in an organisational role as well. I have no real experience in the theatre world, so I am very excited to learn more about what it takes to make such an amazing production a reality!
When I joined the InSPE board, I took the role of Commissioner of Concept and stage management. This essentially entails that I concern myself with the general logistics of location, decor, stage set up, etc
